On July 22, the overseas promotion meeting of the Western China International Fair (hereinafter referred to as the "WCIF") was held in Madrid. More than 80 government representatives, including the Business Counselor’s Office of the Chinese Embassy in Spain, the Spanish Foreign Trade Development Agency and representatives of Spanish Airlines, the Madrid Business Federation, the Spanish Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (UATAE), the Spanish Association of Overseas Chinese and other foreign business associations and business circles participated in the presentation.
7月22日，中國西部國際博覽會（簡稱“西博會”）海外推介會在馬德里舉行。中國駐西班牙大使館經商參處、西班牙外貿發展署等政府代表及西班牙航空、馬德里商業聯合會、西班牙中小企業協會UATAE、西班牙華僑華人協會等境外商協會和企業界代表共80余位嘉賓參加此次推介會。
Yang Qinglong, Secretary-General of the Organizing Committee of the WCIF and Chairman of the Sichuan International Expo Group, introduced the situation of the 18th WCIF in 2020 at the promotion meeting, indicating that the expo would be more innovative on the basis of previous sessions. Javier Serra, Director of International Affairs, Spain's Foreign Trade Development Agency. Juan Nunes, President of the Madrid Business Federation, and Mao Feng, President of the Overseas Chinese Association of Spain, made speeches respectively, introducing the economic and trade cooperation with China and their business development plans in China, and expressing their desire to further expand business in China through the Western Expo.
西博會組委會秘書處秘書長、四川國際博覽集團董事長楊慶龍在推介會上介紹了2020年第十八屆西博會有關情況，表示大會將在往屆基礎上有更多創新。西班牙外貿發展署國際事務總監哈維爾·塞拉致辭。馬德里商業聯合會主席胡安·努涅斯、西班牙華人華僑協會主席毛峰分別發言，介紹了其與中國的經貿合作，以及在中國業務發展規劃，表達了通過西博會進一步加強在華業務的愿望。
Although Sichuan and Spain are located at both ends of the Eurasian continent, the ties of civilization enable the friendship between the two peoples to cross the mountains and rivers since antiquity. As a national comprehensive international exposition to promote the "One Belt and One Road" and the development of the western region, the Expo has been committed to promoting the opening and development of the western region and Sichuan for many years, and has made remarkable achievements. The level of internationalization, professionalism and branding has improved significantly, and has been attended by people from home and abroad.
四川與西班牙雖分處亞歐大陸兩端，但文明的紐帶讓兩地人民的友誼跨越巴山蜀水，源遠流長。作為推進“一帶一路”建設和西部大開發的國家級國際性綜合博覽會，西博會多年來一直致力于推動西部及四川的開放發展，取得了積極成效，國際化、專業化、品牌化水平明顯提升，受到國內外各界高度關注和熱情參與。
The 18th WCIF is scheduled to be held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, in September 2020. The exhibition scale will be more than 200,000 square meters and there will be also a guest of honor country at the fair. The exhibition will be held in the West China International Expo City, the fourth largest exhibition center in China. It is expected that nearly 10,000 enterprises from more than 80 countries (regions) will participate in the exhibition. The 18th Western Expo will have two major sections: comprehensive exhibition and industrial exhibition. The comprehensive exhibition section includes a global cooperation hall, highlighting the cooperation achievements and products in the industrial projects, service trade, commodity trade and other areas among the "one belt one road" countries and the provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in the country; the industrial exhibition section highlights artificial intelligence, digital economy, civil military integration, energy conservation, environmental protection, cultural innovation and so on. In addition, during the expo next year, exhibitions will be held in the areas of digital economy, new industrial kinetic energy, emergency equipment technology, age-care industry and circular economy. At the same time, the West China International Cooperation Forum, the West China International Purchaser Conference, the West China Investment Promotion Conference and the signing ceremony of economic cooperation projects, as well as some professional forums will be held.
第十八屆西博會計劃于2020年9月在四川成都舉辦，展覽規模繼續保持20余萬平方米，繼續設立主賓國。在中國第四大展覽中心——中國西部國際博覽城舉辦展覽，預計將有80個以上的國家（地區）近萬家企業參展。第十八屆西博會將設綜合展示、產業展示兩大板塊。綜合展示板塊設全域開放合作館，突出“一帶一路”沿線國家及國內各省（區、市）在產業項目、服務貿易、商品貿易等方面的合作成果和產品；產業展示板塊突出人工智能、數字經濟、軍民融合、節能環保、文創等產業的前沿科技、最新產品和發展趨勢。此外，明年西博會期間，還將舉行數字經濟、產業新動能、應急裝備技術、養老產業、循環經濟等方面展中展。同時，還將繼續舉辦中國西部國際合作論壇、中國西部國際采購商大會、中國西部投資說明會暨經濟合作項目簽約儀式，以及一些專業論壇。
The promotion of the 18th WCIF in 2020 and the opening-up of Sichuan and Western China will help Spain's relevant institutions to better understand the expo and Sichuan, which will effectively promote the participation in the exhibition, and further promote bilateral investment, trade, science and technology, education, cultural exchanges, tourism and other fields.
本次推介會宣傳推廣2020年第十八屆西博會和四川、中國西部對外開放，讓西班牙相關機構更加了解西博會和四川，將有力促進當地政商代表參會參展，推動雙方在投資貿易、科技教育、文化交流、旅游觀光等領域更深層次、更富成效的交流與合作。
